While building a Skills-Based Organization, STMicroelectronics identified major gaps in AI and embedded security : two fields essential to the company’s innovation roadmap, yet barely addressed by universities or engineering schools.
I created two internal academies in AI and embedded security, leveraging in-house experts and an external engineering firm to design tailored programs. In the first year, we trained over 150 engineers, then scaled the initiative across multiple countries, reaching nearly 400 engineers with cutting-edge content unavailable on the open market.
We built a unique internal capability in critical emerging fields, reduced external recruitment dependency, and positioned STM as a pioneer in technical upskilling at scale.
