A newly appointed President of a major semiconductor division at STMicroelectronics, reporting directly to the CAC40’s CEO, had to take over a €5+ billion business unit operating across 22 countries and managing over 4,000 engineers. The challenge was to ensure a smooth leadership transition in a highly complex, global and technically demanding environment.
I provided executive onboarding and confidential coaching to support the leader’s first year in role. I facilitated strategic alignment with legacy teams, advised on executive team composition, and acted as a sounding board on leadership posture, communication style, and cross-cultural integration. The coaching process included regular check-ins to anticipate blind spots and accelerate influence at group level.
The transition was completed without disruption or loss of key talent. The President became fully operational within three months, reinforced the division’s strategic positioning within the Group, and secured early traction with both global teams and top leadership.
